Natures best.. the perfect R+R wooden lodge
Imagine this…. We stayed in 1, Lake View a wooden lodge built into the side of the hill with an unspoiled view of the lake through two large double window doors… A wrap around balcony providing 180 degree view. Fully functional and equipped kitchen, bathroom with a separate room with a large hot tub jacuzzi and infrared sauna. We bought all our own foods and drink and enjoyed 5 days of absolute solitude and unadulterated R+R … 100% recommended.

What to see at Stonerush Lakes

Stonerush Lakes offers some gentle walks around the park and there are public footpaths and bridleways leading directly from the park, which you can explore too.  The village of Lanreath is just a two mile stroll away, where you can hop on a bus and enjoy a car free day out, or just have a look around the village and church before strolling back.  The stunning South coast is just a 15 minute drive away, with plenty of beautiful coastal walks and charming fishing communities to enjoy.

Head to lovely Lerryn for a choice of wonderful riverside walks.  The 16th century pub that serves this pretty creekside village has been in existence since the 16th century.  Enjoy the catch of the day, brought in fresh from the seas, before choosing one of three spectacular, circular walks taking in woodlands, creeks and river inlets as well as the overgrown remains of Cornwall's own Tivoli Pleasure Park.

Lantic Bay

If you are looking for a peaceful day shoreside, remote Lantic Bay is the ideal stretch of sand to have in your sights.  Made up of two small coves, the sparkling blue water and steeply shelving sand is just right for a quick dip, before lounging on the sands.  A National Trust car park makes access easy and you can enjoy walks around Pencarrow Headland or towards Polruan, where you can get the ferry to Fowey.
