1.1. This is the privacy and cookie policy for Manleigh Park, Stonerush Ltd & Southern Halt Ltd (t/a Charteroak®, "we", "us" or "our")
registered in England at the registered office 1 Saxon House, Saxon Way West, Corby. NN18 9EZ.

1.2. This policy sets out what personal information is collected by Charteroak®, how it is used, disclosed and protected and how you can exercise choices in respect of your information.

1.3. Manleigh Park Ltd., Stonerush Lakes Ltd & Southern Halt Ltd are three of a number of businesses affiliated under SRG Parks Ltd.  

1.4. This policy covers website visitors to www.charteroak.co.uk and other persons of whom we hold personal data such as contractors, suppliers, customers, sales prospects and estate and holiday letting agents.

1.5. We are acting as Controller in respect of your personal data and it is therefore our responsibility to ensure that any sharing or processing of this data is compliant with:

a) Data Protection Act 2018
b) The General Data Protection Regulations (EU) 2016
c) The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003

1.6. Charteroak® is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and the personal information you provide will be used in accordance with this policy.

1.7. Charteroak® may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 25 May 2018, updated 1 October 2022 (Company names).
 

2. What we collect - information you provide

Under the General Data Protection Regulations, personal information is defined as “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person”. Personal data, or personal information means any information about an individual, from which that person can be identified. We collect personal data, or personal information, directly from you, for example when you:

2.1. visit our website and complete a form; requests for brochures, site visits, registering your interest in one or more
of our developments, signing-up for our newsletters or request other information on this site;

2.2. contact us by any means (e.g. telephone, email and written correspondence) and provide information about you to enquire about us or our services;

2.3. engage with one of our marketing emails or on social media;

2.4. engage us to provide services or we engage you to provide services on behalf of Charteroak;

2.5. participate in surveys or questionnaires we may email or provide to you e.g. feedback forms completed by you from staying at one of our holiday resorts.
 

3. Information collected automatically from your use of this website

3.1. When you visit our website we collect personal information you have submitted such as name, contact details and purpose of enquiry. We may automatically collect additional information from your device about your engagement with the site content. This may include information about the type of device you use to access the site and the type of browser you use, details of any website from which you have come to this site and log information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address (the unique address that identifies your device on the internet) and when and how often and for how long you interact with the site. We may also approximate your location using your IP address. This information is used to collect broad demographic information about how visitors interact with the site to develop and improve the service we offer.

3.2. We obtain information about your general internet usage by using technology such as "cookies", which store information on, or access information from, your device in connection with your access to and use of the site in order to make your experience simpler and more meaningful. This type of technology helps us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service for visitors and our customers.They enable us:

4. Information collected from other sources

4.1. We may receive information about you from other group subsidiaries. For example this may happen when an enquiry by you to one of our affiliated companies is relevant to our services and results in a referral to us in order to respond to your query.

4.2. We may also obtain your data from Google services, website monitoring technology and Social Media platforms in respect of advertising we undertake.

4.3. We may also obtain your data from third parties such as holiday letting and estate agents or individuals with whom you have agreed to share your information.

4.4. We may capture your image by our CCTV cameras and webcams at our holiday development sites.
 

5. Email marketing

5.2. We may use Mailchimp to contact you with emails in order for us to keep you updated with news which we feel is relevant to you and we consider a legitimate interest. We may also contact you in order for us to fulfil our contract with you e.g. when booking a holiday at any of our holiday resorts via Sykes Holiday Cottages we will provide you with necessary information relating to your upcoming holiday.

5.3. Subscription to our newsletter and email marketing communication is voluntary and you can unsubscribe by following the link at the bottom of every email.

5.4. You can indicate your preferences regarding receiving marketing information regarding our products and services or those related products and services of other group companies at the point of collection or, where you do not wish further use of your information in this way, by following the unsubscribe instructions on any promotional communications we send to you. You can also exercise this right at any time by using the contact us details at the end of this policy.
 

6. Facebook / Instagram Advertising

We use a number of Facebook business services including conversions and pixel tracking, custom audiences and lead generation forms. We will obtain the information you provide to us to let you know of our services in accordance to the preferences set by you at the time of completing the form. A pixel code is installed on this website which tracks conversions from Facebook ads. This helps to optimise our ads based on collected data, build targeted audiences for future ads and for remarketing purposes. 7. LinkedIn Advertising

We use LinkedIn ad services including conversion tracking, custom audiences and lead generation forms. We will obtain the information you provide to us to let you know of our services in accordance to the preferences set by you at the time of completing the form. 8.1. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how users use this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. 8.3. Google AdWords Remarketing

Google AdWords Remarketing helps us to advertise our products and services across the Internet, in particular on the Google Display Network. Google AdWords Remarketing will display ads to you based on what parts of the site you have viewed by placing a cookie on your web browser. This cookie does not in any way identify you or give access to your computer or mobile device. 9. Social plug-ins

10.1. We have implemented social plug-ins from social networks so that you can share content of interest with friends and social connections.

10.2.Our site contains plug-in connections to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. If you are a member of one of these networks and are logged-in while visiting this site the fact that you visited our site will be transmitted to the relevant network who may assign this information to your social network personal user account. 11. What we do with the information we gather

12.1. We may disclose aggregate statistics about visitors to the site, in order to describe our services to prospective partners but these statistics will not include personal identifiable information.

12.2. We may disclose your personal information to our agents or contractors who help us in providing services. Our agents and contractors will only use your information to the extent necessary to provide their support functions and subject to appropriate safeguards.

12.3. As mentioned above, we may, only with your consent, pass your information to other group companies in who may communicate information about their products or services.

12.4. In the event that we undergo a reorganisation or are sold to a third party, you agree that any personal information we hold about you may be transferred to that re-organised entity or third party.

12.5. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information if legally entitled or required to do so (for example if required by law or by a court order or if we believe that such an action is necessary to prevent fraud or cybercrime or to protect the site, its visitors or our customers rights, property or personal safety.

By way of example this may happen if one or more of our service providers are located outside the EEA. Policies and procedures are in place to safeguard it from loss, misuse and improper disclosure. We also have procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Please find below more details and information on how and when you can exercise your rights. We will respond to your request within one month. If the request of access is complex we reserve the right to extend the period by a further two months.

16.2. The right to request to correct your personal data if it is inaccurate. You may also supplement any incomplete personal data we have, taking into account the purposes of the processing.

16.3.The right to request deletion of your personal data if:

b) the processing is unlawful and you oppose the deletion of your personal data and request restriction; or
