We’ve put together our top pick of summer Regattas and for those of you who enjoy a bit more music and culture we’ve also put together our top picks of things to see and do. To help you out we have also noted how long it takes to travel to each attraction from our beautiful lodges at Stonerush Lakes
(All times are approximate and are dependent on traffic).Summer Regattas Charlestown Regatta Week
(25th – 31st July). Charlestown is one of Cornwall’s most photogenic villages thanks to its authentic Georgian harbour. This weeklong Regatta offers a range of events including water sports, games and entertainment.
14 miles (30 minutes) from Stonerush Lakes. Falmouth Regatta Week
(7th – 16th August). This is the largest sailing Regatta in the south west with more than 450 yachts in attendance.

(16th – 22nd August). The usually tranquil town of Fowey attracts thousands of visitors every year for one of Britain’s premier sailing events.

(20th – 28th June). An old tradition celebrating the coming of summer, the weeklong festival includes live music, arts and crafts, comedy and the lighting of the solstice bonfire.

(1st – 6th September). This festival is held every year in a different location and the host town for 2015 is St Austell. Gorsedh Kernow exists to maintain the national Celtic spirit of Cornwall and to celebrate Cornish history, literature, arts, music, dance and sport.
