Indio Lake, exploring a winter coastline or shopping in picturesque towns and villages, Devon offers a host of winter attractions.
First off is Torquay situated just 14 miles from
Indio Lake. This famous seaside town is one of the jewels on the English Riviera and a ‘must stop’ for any visitor to the county with its vibrant shopping centre and packed winter programme of festivals and events.
For walkers, Devon is a very popular destination, thanks in particular to the South West Coast Path, which runs across 205 miles of the north and south coasts.
When it comes to food and drink Devon is hard to beat, with fresh seafood available throughout the year and some of the best restaurants in the country to visit. If you’re lucky enough to be in Devon when the snow starts falling, the varied landscape of Exmoor makes for the perfect sledging location.
